The mobile industry issues anti-malware solutions to secure popular mobile platforms almost as an afterthought. Apple has begun disabling iPhones, iPads and iPods running the preview version of iOS5 if those devices are not actively being used to develop applications, according to a post on 9to5Mac. Continue
Users of the on-demand music streaming service Rdio now have a much prettier interface from which to browse and listen to songs on their iPads. The service's official iPad app finally launched earlier today.
The new app gives Rdio a slight leg up over its newest and most buzzed-about competitor Spotify, which does not have an official iPad app available yet. The same is true of MOG, another popular on-demand streaming service. Continue

This month, we found a lot of great new iPhone apps, some Android and tablet apps, and a bunch of "notable" application updates.
