Users of the on-demand music streaming service Rdio now have a much prettier interface from which to browse and listen to songs on their iPads. The service's official iPad app finally launched earlier today.
The new app gives Rdio a slight leg up over its newest and most buzzed-about competitor Spotify, which does not have an official iPad app available yet. The same is true of MOG, another popular on-demand streaming service. Continue
There was a wide variety of applications on our list of the fastest growing by daily active users this week. Everything from Facebook’s mobile app to Spotify to photos and quiz apps to Page admin apps to horoscopes and Yahoo’s app were on the list. The apps on our list below grew from between 101,900 and 1.1 million DAU, based on AppData, our data tracking service covering traffic growth for apps on Facebook.Continue

Universal Music Group launched a new website today called Digster.fm, where a team of music editors curates playlists that can be listened to through music service Spotify. Spotify is great, curation is a creative act with incredible potential, and I had some hope this new effort could point towards the future of competition between music industry players. Yeah! According to Netflix's second quarter earnings statement, it is going to integrating with Facebook later this year in Latin America and Canada. Netflix will join Hulu and Spotify as services that have some type of integration with the social platform, as it looks to build value through content offerings. Continue
