Moot provides free communicating and sharing service using cell phones or PC. It actually helps in communicating with the people in same locality.

It works everywhere (home, school and even when you’re travelling) and also lets you interact with others.

They maintain a very strict privacy policy. No one (including service providers) can see what their users are up to. The information provided by the user remains anonymous until he/she want others to see.

In the beta version, it support Windows XP/Vista (32 bit) and cell phones having Windows Mobile 6.0 and WLAN. Their ultimate goal is to make this application available for everyone. Their development team is working on new versions which will be compatible with different platforms, devices and operating systems. This will certainly take some time.

There are different facilities available for the Mooters like The Arena, ticker, pop-up menu, etc. Chatting and downloading are two main features of this application. You can also modify your icon according to your mood. The application can be downloaded from their site.

Although the site is working fine, taking it to the next level will be a challenge and lets hope they succeed in it.
